
The Story of Geronimo was a work in the early 20th Century. A military officer took up the cause of the Native American Indians at the end of the Indian Wars. This officer recorded Geronimo's own words into English and then published the book for all to read. Being a United States Officer, the slant of the autobiography to rid the United States of all wrong-doings is obvious. But, overall, much of the oppression and outright physical slavery (as you will see) of the Native Americans was still told in a way that the seeker of truth will discover them.
